With the 2017 wedding season about to commence it’s nice to take some time and post one of December 2016 weddings with you. At the end of last year Emma & Jarred exchanged vows and invited their family and friends to witness the occasion.

Both Mike & I capture Emma & Jarryd’s memories. Prior to the ceremony Mike attended the boys while I meet the girls to capture a few images of them making the final preparation for the ceremony. Emma was surrounded by her bridesmaids and Mum. Her gorgeous Aunty and Mum assisted in tying the dress and placing the vail.

Emma and Jarryd held their ceremony on the balcony of Sandringham yacht club. The weather was beautiful except the wind coming off the ocean was rather strong. Its so unpredictable what the wind will do in Melbourne.

The ceremony was followed by family photos which unfortunately were instead because of the wind. Normally its nice to capture image with the family at the ceremony site but at times it’s not always able due to weather or poor lighting.

The surrounds of the Yacht club make for some awesome locations for photos so there certainly wasn’t any need to travel for photo locations.

So excited to share there few moments from Emma and Jarryd’s special day. Congratulations again and I hope you both are having an amazing time on your honeymoon.

Not too long ago I had the pleasure of capturing Jade & Tyson’s wedding at Emu Bottom in Sunbury while Mike was up in Yamba NSW at Courtney and Nathan’s wedding.

Jade & Tyson had a gorgeous Spring day to formalise their relationship and celebrate with their families and friends. I started my day with Tyson and the boys who organised which I always appreciate as it means lots more photos of this special part of the day.

It was soon time to head to Jade and her girls. Brian their gorgeous hound was with the girls. He is simply gorgeous to say the least! We captured some sweet images of the girls getting ready before the Taxi arrived to take Jade and her girls along with Jades family to the wedding.

The ceremony was held at Emu Bottom….. Such a perfect location for a spring wedding. The ceremony was followed by friends & Family photos along with a few quick photos with the car before heading to a few locations at the homestead for photos.

The reception was hosted in the woolshed and was an awesome party to celebrate Tyson and Jade’s union.

I love capturing the expression of the groom when he sees his bride for the first time. …. It’s definitely one of the highlights of being a wedding photographer.

Last year amongst the chaos of wedding season we fell very behind on sharing our gorgeous couples weddings on our blog!

Jessica & Kris were married on a Sunday at the end of last year and I was delighted to be able to capture their day. Kris opted not to have preparation photos taken so I started my day with Jess and the girls. Poor Jess came down the tonsillitis on her wedding day but did very well to put a on brave face and enjoy the day her and Kris had spent much time planning for.

The ceremony was held at D’Olive at Point Cook as was the reception. It was a gorgeous out door ceremony. The ceremony was followed by family photos at break for the bridal party to eat and drink before capturing some stunning images of the couple and their bridal party.

The reception was a cocktail style and was full of dance and celebration. As the sun sets late this time of year at about 8pm we headed out for some photos in the last light.

Mike and I can’t believe we are already one week into 2017. Last year just flow on by. We have fallen a little behind with sharing  our gorgeous couples weddings from the end of last year.

In November I had the pleasure of capturing the wedding of Jenna and Heath. It was an amazing day for them both. The weather wasn’t the most pleasant with the crazy wind we experienced at Elwood but Jenna and Heath took it in the stride and made the most of the weather they were given.

I started the day capturing images of Heath and the boys getting ready in East Keilor. I loved all the little details there was to capture particularly the super hero socks…. a great touch.

The girls were getting ready not far from Elwood pier where the ceremony was to be held  in a cool little air B&B. Jenna’s family had travelled across from the States as well as some of her bridesmaids. It was such a nice atmosphere with girls and the time flow on by. It was soon time to head to the pier for the ceremony, family photos and the photo session.

The winds at the pier were a little trying for Jenna and Heath and the bridal party but they coped so well and we were able to capture some awesome images despite the challenges of the weather. 🙂

The reception was hosted by Sails on the Bay at Elwood and was certainly a great Celebration of the love and friendship shared by Jenna and Heath.

I’ve been looking forward to putting up Courtney & Nathan’s blog entry for a little while now, it was just a matter of actually doing it as there has been so many weddings the last few weeks!

We had a perfect day for the wedding in the beach town of Yamba, NSW. The houses where Courtney & Nathan got ready in were beautiful and so full of natural light but the garden where the ceremony was held was one of the highlights for me. It was absolutely beautiful, the sun was in just the right spot to give us rich colours and the rich green grass, trees and colourful flowers made it a perfect spot to get married. The ceremony & family photos were over before we knew it and after doing a few bridal party shots in the gardens we headed to a lookout overlooking the ocean.

The Angourie Lookout was our destination (after a quick drop of to buy drinks for the groomsmen!) which had amazing views and stunning blue sky as our backdrop. After that we headed to the Yamba Golf Course for the remainder of and in my opinion some of the best shots of the day. The sun was starting to go down leaving some nice glowing and soft colours to work with. Of course any lighting and location would be fine for a couple that looked this good!

The reception was also held at the Yamba Golf & Country Club, the huge reception room fitting Courtney & Nathan’s guests very well. The roominess also helped us catch some brilliant series of shots for the bouquet & garter throws. There’s a couple in our little sneak peek below.
