The season for weddings is certainly here. Recently we had the pleasure of capturing Natalie and Tyson’s wedding. Tyson and his family have been friends of ours for so many years now and are practically family. Although in recent years our lives have taken different paths and we don’t see each other as much as we would like, whenever we do have the opportunity to reconnect we picked up from where we left off. Tyson’s gorgeous sister were in the bridal party so it was a lot of fun catching up with Erin and Haylee!!

The day started by capturing Tyson and his boys getting ready.  I love how much detail there was to capture at the wedding. Tyson was so happy and excited to marry the beautiful Natalie. There was a real buzz at the boys while they got ready.

It was soon time to head over to the girls, who were super organised and had everything ready for me to capture all the little details that made for a very beautiful collection of bridal images for Natalie.

The ceremony was held at Tyson and Natalie’s local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Family photos were then taken followed by their photo session. Thankfully Tyson and Natalie had left lots of time for photos because the weather wasn’t the kindest to us. On and off rain made it a little tiring and challenging for the bridal party. We were in and out of the rain all afternoon.

It was a pleasure to capture these gorgeous images and many more. Hope you are both enjoying the Cook Islands!

Last Saturday was the day chosen by David & Grace to celebrate their love and join their hearts in Marriage. I had the privilege of capturing their memories.

I met first met Grace some months back and after spending some time discussing her wedding plans I knew that her wedding would be an absolute delight to capture and that it was.

Grace and David’s chosen team of suppliers made for a truly beautiful wedding. I fell in love with the wedding dress the minute I set eyes on it. The layers of lace and detail was breathtaking. Melanie Jayne Bridal stocked the dress and made the adjustments on the dress so that it fitted ever so perfectly on Grace.  Grace’s makeup was divine and the flowers flawless. I loved that David had etched the words I love Grace on the wall in Grace’s bedroom. Grace described it as “naughty” as it wont come off and needs painting over. I found it cute. It certainly made for a personal little touch in Grace’s preparation photos. The piano was a beautiful feature to capture some of the details of the wedding on. It was the piano that Grace had learnt to play on as a child. Capturing Grace’s preparation photos was a delight.

It was soon time to head to the ceremony which was held at St Frances Xavier Church in Woolgooga. The ceremony was light hearted and was an true expression of the love shared between such a beautiful couple. The ceremony was followed by family photos. Grace fell a little unwell during this time however didn’t let this stop her from embracing the day and making the most of her photo opportunity. Despite  her feeling unwell we were able to capture some beautiful images at Saftey beach and Woolgooga Headland. The light was amazing and the sunset breathtaking.

I hope you are both having the most amazing time on your honeymoon. Im delighted to share these images of you both. Can’t wait to share some more on facebook soon.

Last Saturday we photographed the wedding of Simone and Sam at the incredible Aanuka Beach Resort. It was a perfect winters day for a wedding, mostly blue skies and warm, we were off to  a good start before we even began!

Amy photographed Simone and her bridesmaids whilst I photographed Sam and the boys. They were almost next door in the resort so that made it super easy logistically, except for the fact that they couldn’t see each other beforehand!

The boys suited up just nicely with the groomsmen in two piece suits and the groom in a  three piece (another reason why winter weddings can be a great idea!). The girls of course looked stunning and Simone’s dress was just beautiful.

The ceremony was held on the lawn area of the resort facing the beach, there’s beautiful gardens and a lagoon nearby which make great spots for photos. Ken Palmer officiated the ceremony and did a fantastic job as usual. Ben Francis provided music at the ceremony as people mingled which set the scene perfectly as Simone walked down the aisle. Simone’s dad Anthony looked like he just couldn’t be happier as he greeted Sam and handed over his lovely daughter.

After the formalities and family photos we started the photo shoot. Coffs Coast Love Letters provided the props for many a photo and looked superb when placed alongside such a great looking bridal party! We were able to make use of them right through the day and into the evening.

The reception was held in the Lagoon room at Aanuka and catered perfectly for the number of guests. Ben Francis looked after the role of MC and DJ providing the entertainment for the whole evening. After the food was served we headed out for some night photos, returning after a few minutes for the speeches, cake cut and of course dancing!

Last weekend Peter from Images by Pete and I photographed the wedding of Brianna and Matt in Coffs Harbour. It was a beautiful winters day in the delightful holiday destination. Such a perfect place to celebrate an important day! Brianna and Matt met some 5 years ago and over their years their friendship has blossomed into the love they share today. Matt popped the question in the amazing Hunter Valley and overwhelmed his beautiful Brianna with a proposal that involved a helicopter and a hot air balloon. Delighted Brianna agreed and soon began the wedding planning.

Matt & Brianna were married at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Coffs Harbour. Photos were taken at the Botanical Gardens, Charlesworth Bay and Opal Cove Resort. The ballroom at Opal Cove Resort was tastefully decorated so that friends and family could celebrate their special day.

We started the day with Brianna getting ready with her bridesmaids capturing all the specific details that made Brianna the stunning bride that she was. The bridal photos were followed by the ceremony at the Kingdom Hall. Family photos were captured before heading onto our chosen locations for the day.

Last Saturday I was privileged to share in the beautiful wedding of Kelly and Shane in Essendon, Victoria. We had a perfect winters day, very little wind and not too cold with bright blue sky ahead.

Shane and Kelly both got ready in apartments nearby but most of the day we were at the stunning Roselyn Court in Essendon. The gardens there are magnificent and we had a really good time doing the photos there.

The ceremony was held indoors (in case the weather wasn’t so good) and conducted by Yvonne Wood who did a beautiful job as usual. Kelly loves the tram tracks and big tree that line the main road running through Essendon towards the city so after taking advantage of Roselyn Court for photos we headed in the cars for the tree lined roadway for our few last shots.
