Kylie and Billy’s Aanuka Beach Wedding
Wedding Season is well and truly upon us, it is a busy time of year but really, really satisfying at the same time. Satisfying because of weddings of people like Kylie and Billy. Kylie and Billy are some of the nicest people you’ll meet and I’m so happy that their wedding day worked out so flawless. It was a lot of fun and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The preparation photos were done conveniently on the grounds of the Aanuka Beach Resort in Coffs Harbour, so I did the guys photos and simply had to walk to the girls villa for photos there too. We had a beautiful sunny day which meant there were plenty of rich shadows and colours to work with. Our friend Deb McMahon did a beautiful job of the ceremony on the nicely manicured lawn overlooking the beach.
There were plenty of smiles during the day but one of my favourite shots is of Billy giving his dad a hug, photographically it may not be the best image ever, but it just shows how great their father son friendship is.
The photoshoot was held around the grounds of Aanuka and the beach and boy did it go fast. After dismissing the bridal party we did just a few more shots with just Kylie and Billy and then it was off to the reception.
Heres a few pics from the day, Billy, you looked so happy from the time I got there till the time I finished and Kylie, you looked absolutely stunning. It was a pleasure photographing your big day and I look forward to posting all your images to you shortly!

Ana & Daniel’s Engagement Session
Last week Mike & I caught up with Ana and Daniel at Carlton Garden’s for their engagement session. I met Ana at the Melbourne Wedding & Bride expo the previous weekend and we were excited to be given the opportunity to capture some memories of this special time in their life.
As it’s daylight savings now we met Ana and Daniel after they had finished work. The light in Carlton Gardens in the evening is gorgeous, such beautiful garden light.
Thanks for an awesome session Ana and Daniel, Here is a preview of some of the photos from the session.

Amanda & David’s Engagement Session
A few weeks back we caught up with the beautiful Amanda & David and their gorgeous Little bub Sienna. It was an amazing spring morning up in Coffs Harbour! We caught up with them a Charlesworth bay. One of my favourite beaches to shot!
So excited you have chosen Mike & I to shot the wedding next year! We had such a nice time at the session! Very excited for the wedding 🙂
Here is a little sneak at the session

Amy and Mitch’s Wedding
I made the trip back to Coffs Harbour a few weeks back for the beautiful wedding of Amy and Mitch. As always it’s a fantastic place for wedding photos.
We did the usual pre wedding portraits and getting ready shots of both the groom and bride before heading to the ceremony location. Amy and Mitch got married at a beautiful spot overlooking the Jetty in Coffs Harbour, the only issue we had was that it just so happened to be an exceptionally windy day! You might not be able to tell in the photos but it was pretty blowy! Not that it mattered though as Amy was a great sport on the day and didn’t seem at all phased by it, neither did the guests for that matter. Well done.
After the ceremony was finished we escaped the elements and headed to the Botanical Gardens. They’re getting quite popular for wedding photos now and it isn’t hard to see what as the greenery, flowers, trees and lakes make it a great place. Its always good to get a bit of sun peeking through the trees there and we weren’t disappointed.
It seemed like we had just started doing the photos and it was already time to finish up, here are a few pics from the day. Hope you enjoy them. 🙂

Abbey & Simon| Mike & Amy | Coffs Harbour
Recently on a trip up to Coffs Harbour I was delighted to spend a day with Abbey and Simon at their wedding. Such an awesome day it was! True to our generation Abbey and Simon met on an online dating website and after a few months of talking they went on a date. It was Abbey’s very first date- Very cute indeed!
I always love hearing about the proposal that leads to the most exciting day of peoples lives. Here is Abbey’s perspective of Simon’s proposal:
“Simon drove us to Sawtell headland one night (something we do regularly, to look at the stars and moon) We sat there for a while talking, watching the sky and listening to music. Being only a Learner driver Simon asked if I wanted to drive home. (I really didn’t want to and was hesitant) I agreed and went looking for my Learner plates in the glove box of the car. I quickly grabbed my plates out completely missing and not seeing there was a box in there! Simon asked me to have another look and told me that I had missed something. I opened the glove box again and seen the box in there (still not completely sure of what I held in my hands) And then Simon said some beautiful words to me asked me to marry him, I balled my eyes out at first and couldn’t even talk! And then of course said “yes” to him”
What a beautiful proposal!! Sawtell headland is a beautiful place and very romantic and peaceful at night!
I was excited to capture this special day with our very cute couple. I started with Simon and the groomsman who were getting ready at Simon’s parents home 🙂 The girls prepared for the day at Opal Cove Resort, which is where I headed after spending some time with the boys.
The ceremony was held in Japaneses Garden’s at the Coffs Harbour botanical Garden’s. The weather wasn’t perfect for us but we worked with the gorgeous light we were given and captured some very gorgeous images.
It was soon time to head back to Opal Cove for the reception. It was such an enjoyable day and a real pleasure to spend the day with such an awesome couple!
Thanks for an awesome day! I hope that you are both enjoying your Asia Honeymoon!!!
