Avril & Keegan’s Wedding

June 18, 2015

A few weeks back now I had the pleasure of attending Avril and Keegan’s wedding. It feels like only last week I met with Arvil and discussed all her wedding plans! I can’t believe now the wedding has come and gone. What a perfect day it was. I hope that it was everything you planned it to be 🙂

I started the day with Keegan and his boys. They needed a little assistance preparing for the ceremony but most boys do. Keegan had a thing for watches. I was privileged to photograph a small part of his collection! The boys also had cogs from watches as their cuff-links – A really cool touch!!

After giving the boys a hand and capturing a few images it was soon time to head out to Bonville Golf Resort where Avril and the girls were getting ready! The girls looked amazing! I was so excited when I arrived at the girls everything was so perfect. Avril your dress was stunning I hope you felt amazing as you looked absolutely incredible 🙂 Your gorgeous bridesmaids did a great job assisting you preparing and they looked beautiful too 🙂

Keegan and Avril exchanged vows in the gorgeous rainforest at the Golf Resort. The staff at Bonville do an amazing job keeping the rainforest beautiful and stunning for wedding ceremonies all year round!!

After the ceremony we worked through some family photos and then headed to a few locations around the resort. The light was so amazing the afternoon of the wedding and really enjoyed capturing such a cute couple in such amazing light 🙂

Here are just a few images from the day.

A huge congratulation guys 🙂

Anja and Tom’s Pacific Bay Wedding

June 17, 2015

If there ever was a wet weather wedding… Anja and Tom’s was one! Not that the rain made the biggest impression on the day but the weather in Coffs Harbour on that weekend was pretty bad… you know, flooding and road closures and stuff! The thing with Anja and Tom is that they weren’t fazed by it at all. You guys were an absolute pleasure to deal with on the day, and it made it really enjoyable. The entire wedding was held at the beautiful Pacific Bay Resort in Coffs Harbour, NSW. There was no chance to have the wedding outside so we had to settle with the ceremony indoors… not a bad thing though as there are plenty of facilities for it at the resort. Many of the guests travelled far to be at Anja and Tom’s wedding which made it very special. The ceremony and photo shoot were great as the bridal party braved the weaner as best as anyone could. The photos were great, the weather set a very nice tone for it, and everyone had a good time. The reception was fun too, the series of photos of the garter and bouquet being thrown (whilst not all shown here) were awesome too. Here’s a few pics from your day Anja and Tom, although you’ve already seen them all as you have the photos! – Mike

Kel and Todd’s Wedding

June 15, 2015

We have just finished a very busy wedding season and are set in for the winter months now, I recently photographed the wedding of Kel and Todd at the Aanuka Beach Resort in Coffs Harbour. It was a stunning day and the ceremony was held overlooking the ocean from the lawn just outside the resort. As you will notice from the photos Todd and his groomsmen are avid cricket fans, they also grew up in the country town of Casino in NSW. It was great being able to catch up with people that I hadn’t seen in a number of years. As has been the case with a lot of weddings of late, our brides and grooms have been opting to have their entire weddings at the one venue, i.e. accommodation, ceremony, reception. All of the photos were done on the grounds as well. I had a great time photographing your special day Kel and Todd, I hope you have enjoyed your photos, here are a few for others to see too! – Mike

Jess & Matt |Fitzroy Gardens|Melbourne|Mike & Amy

June 11, 2015

Last weekend I caught up with the very cute Jess and Matt at Fitzroy gardens in the city!! I’m so pleased we had some very pleasant weather for the session. It was raining and it wasn’t too cold. A real bonus for Melbourne. I loved the this because Jess and Matt are so adorable together. It’s always such a please to photograph a couple that are truly in love. Sorry Matt that I didn’t wear black and white for the session!!- I might show my support for your team at the wedding by wearing a black and white dress- maybe I can convince Mike to wear their colors too! LOL.

The Garden’s were so gorgeous for the session. I love photographing this time of year. The trees losing their leaves are so beautiful!!

Thanks for an awesome session guys!! Looking forward to being part of your special day 🙂

KC and Brian’s Woolgoolga/Coffs Harbour Wedding

June 7, 2015

A few weeks back I photographed the beautiful wedding of KC and Brian at Woolgoolga, NSW. I know I always tend to talk about rain when I blog and its probably not all that interesting to hear it but it can make a big difference on the day! It’s fine for the bride and groom, they will always get great photos but… it just means I have to work harder!

We were lucky enough for the rain to stop so that KC and Brian could have their ceremony outdoors overlooking the Ocean, after which we travelled to a few different locations around Woolgoolga and then Coffs Harbour. The place in Coffs we chose for photos was at the Jetty. This place meant a lot to KC and Brian as he had proposed to her there on Valentines Day last year. Just after he had proposed and she had said yes a dolphin came out of the water right next to where they were… pretty cool! Unfortunately we were unable to recreate that specific event… but we did get an awesome rainbow!

After our location shoots we headed over to the Park Beach Surf Club for the reception.

I had a great day with you both, I hope you enjoy these pics!!
