Morgan and Chris Opal Cove Wedding

June 6, 2015

Morgan and Chris were married in Coffs Harbour not long ago now, they had a perfect day and enjoyed it at the Opal Cove Resort. The wedding ceremony, reception, preparation and most of the shoot were all held at the grounds there.

Morgan and Chris had the order of their day slightly different to a typical wedding here in that they chose to do their photo shoot prior to their ceremony.

I did the bridal and groom prep first as usual but after that we did a ‘first look’ where Morgan got to see each other all dressed up without anyone else around except their bridal parties. It was a touching moment and made for some awesome shots. We did the photo shoot at the beautiful grounds of Opal Cove, the Coffs Harbour’s Jetty and then back to the beach near Opal Cove for the final photos in the now softer light.

After a quick freshen up it was time for the ceremony. The ceremony was handled by the lovely Sam from ‘Married by Sam’ who did a fantastic job, cheerful and bubbly as always! The photo shoot beforehand worked very well, as after the ceremony it was straight into family photos, drinks, food, mingling and then the reception. No one was kept waiting whilst we did photos, and the dress didn’t even get dirty!

The reception was a treat and everyone had an awesome time their too. A great day with a great couple, here are a few phtots!

Tash and Richard’s Gunnedah Wedding

June 3, 2015

A little while back I photographed the wedding of Tash and Richard in Gunnedah, NSW. We’ve done a few weddings out that far over the years as it is quite close to the regional centre of Tamworth. The preparation photos were all done in town first before we headed to the beautiful Quirang Country Gardens.

Tash and her bridesmaids didn’t take long to get ready, close family and friends were nearby and she looked beautiful. Richard and the guys didn’t look too bad either, being from the country they had to have some shots with the hats… and the utes… of course!

Carrie Frith was the celebrant for the ceremony and did a great job as always. The ceremony was nice and short (which to be honest, I always like!) and we went on to family photos.

The actual photo shoot was done entirely on the grounds of the Quirang Country Gardens which made it easy to get around, it was a pretty hot day for the wedding too… hard to think when it’s so cold here in Melbourne  now. Cold for us anyway! Despite the heat we all had a good day though, we breezed through all of the photos and I was able to capture some great shots of Tash and Richard just being themselves.

The reception was held in a Marquee on the property, it had a Photo Booth, and plenty of stuff to do to keep the guests entertained. The food music and dancing was great but before too long it was my time to finish. Here’s some pics!

I had the opportunity to do an engagement session for Avril and Keegan a little while ago now. They are off in Europe on their honeymoon at the moment and I must say Im a little jealous!! I hope that you are having an amazing time and the European Spring/Summer is treating you with some beautiful weather!

We caught up with Avril and Keegan a little out of Coffs Harbour for the engagement session. It was a really fun session and was excited after the session to capture their wedding which I have also had the privilege of doing now.

Sally & Richie|Villa Vivante| Coffs Harbour|Mike & Amy

May 26, 2015

Back in March Mike & I had the absoulte pleasure of attending the wedding of Sally and Richie. It was a stunning day in the beautiful Coffs Harbour. The weather was perfect!!!

The wedding was held at Villa Vivante over looking Coffs Harbour. Both Sally & Richie prepared for the ceremony at the gorgeous Villa! While Mike photographed the Richie I photographed Sally and her girls. Richie didn’t have any official groomsman on the day.

The ceremony held on the balcony of the Villa over looking Charlesworth Bay and the Northern suburbs of Coffs Harbour. Kim Piper performed a really beautiful ceremony. The ceremony was followed by some family photos on the balcony followed by Sally & Richie’s photos which were taken at Charlesworth Bay and at the Villa.

Both Sally and Richie looked stunning!! What a beautiful pregnant bride Sally was!! Your dress was gorgeous and your hair perfect.

Sally being a wedding planner did an amazing job of planning their wedding. The reception ran smoothly with some cool entertainment arranged. The mobile Casino was a cool way to keep the guest entertained!! I loved the entrance dance you guys both did. It really got the party started! The shakers were very quirky and lively!!!

Such an awesome day guys! Thanks so much for sharing it with us. We loved capturing every minute of it. We hope that your wedding day was everything you planned and hoped it would be 🙂
