Dani & Steve’s Engagement Session

December 18, 2013

A month or so ago I caught up with Dani and Steve for their engagement session while they were in town doing some final wedding planning before the wedding. Dani and Steve were married a couple of weeks back and I can not wait to share their photos with you all. It was an amazing day for this very adorable couple.

While both Mike and I photographed Dani and Steve’s wedding he was unable to attend their engagement session so Dani and Steve had to put up with just me. We met at the Diggers Beach for the session. We were certainly not disappointed with the sun… It was amazing and had such a strong glow about it.

I hope you guys are having an amazing time in Mexico…. I can’t wait to share your wedding photos on the blog!! Wont be long now.

For now here are a few images from the engagement session.

Michelle & Nick’s Country Wedding

December 18, 2013

Not too long ago I headed up to Armidale for the wedding of Michelle and Nick. It does however seem a white ago now… Time certainly flys.

Michelle and Nick live away from Armidale but Michelle’s parents have a property just outside Armidale a little which made for the perfect location for their country/bush themed wedding.  I admire them and of course Michelle’s parents for all the effort they put into the wedding to make it special and unique to such a beautiful couple. Michelle and Nick have a great love and respect for Nature and the environment … I think they reflected this perfectly in their wedding theming/decorating as well as incorporating Nick’s south African heritage.

I started my day with Michelle who was having her hair and makeup done at a Salon in Armidale. My terrible parallel park outside the Salon and the embarrassing moment of getting out to the car and releasing how bad the park was while other were watching and then deciding to leave it and disappear into the Salon  created a great deal of talk while the girls were having their makeup finalised. I don’t think they realised how bad the park was until they adventured outside after the completion of their makeup LOL!!

After capturing a few images of Michelle I headed over to the boys who were getting ready just done from Michelle’s parents place. The boys were rather relaxed about getting ready! It was awesome to have a sneak at some of their photos of Michelle and Nick’s Africa Trip a few years back…only to discover that we had visited some of the same places on our trip to Africa.

About an hour or so before the ceremony I headed over to the property where Michelle and her girls were preparing. I had a sneak at the ceremony location which Nick and Michelle’s Dad had worked hard on preparing it made me super excited to photograph the ceremony for them.

The ceremony was so beautiful and everyone really felt the relaxed tranquil feeling the Australia Bush has to offer… It was exactly what Michelle and Nick wanted for their family and friends who had travelled as far as South Africa for the wedding.

We took some family photos in the gardens are the property before heading off location for photos. The light for our photo session was amazing… It was awesome to capture such a great couple in amazing light!

Thanks so much for sharing your special day with me. I hope that your wedding images have arrived and they were everything you both dreamed off. Best wishes guys for your future together … I’m looking forward to hearing all about your planned future adventures.

Emma and Mark’s Grafton Wedding

December 9, 2013

Not too long ago now, I had the opportunity to photograph the wedding of Emma and Mark in Grafton. It was a beautiful sunny day, warm but not too hot, and Emma and Mark were set to have a beautiful wedding.

We started with the photos of the guys getting ready, before progressing to Emmas mums house for the bridal portraits and getting ready shots. Emma and the girls looked stunning in their dresses, and yes I think Mark was quite impressed when she walked down the aisle!

Our happy couple had a very nice garden ceremony, beautiful vintage cars took the girls to location and before we knew it, it was time for Emma to walk down the aisle.

The ceremony done, family photos finished, it was then time for our favourite part of the day, the photo shoot! We did most of the photos around the ceremony grounds as there was such variety and great afternoon light coming through the trees. After that it was on to See Park and a little alley that we somwtimes use for shots as the sun is setting.

The reception was held at the Grafton Golf Club, one memorable moment for me was the garter toss, that catch was the best we’ve ever photographed!

Heres a few pics!

James & Bec’s Engagement Session

December 6, 2013

Last month Mike and I caught up with James and Bec who were up visiting/passing through from down South. It was awesome to catch up with them both and get to know them a little better before their big day.

We met James and Bec in Bellingen and they followed us out to the gorgeous promise land at Glennifer. It was such an awesome session. The light was beautiful, the weather was stunning and our couple were lots of fun. James and Bec have a real vigor about themselves and great vibe for life!! They were a lot of fun to photograph!! Not to mention how cute they are together… defiantly picture perfect!

It was awesome to catch up with you both at the session and hear all about the wedding plans 🙂

I hope they are all going well and I’m really looking forward to making the trip up to Armidale for the wedding in March 🙂 Can’t wait!!
