Sheree and Jason’s wedding- Valla Beach Resort

May 30, 2013

A couple of weeks back Mike and I made our way down to Valla Beach/Macksville area for the gorgeous wedding of Sheree and Jason. A few weeks prior to the wedding we met this very adorable couple at the Coffs Harbour Botanical gardens for their engagement session and a catch up before the wedding. 🙂

Jason and his boys were getting ready in Valla Beach so I dropped Mike at Valla with the boys so he could document the few hours before the ceremony for the boys. Mike said the boys were a great bunch and he really enjoyed capturing the memories of this special time.

While Mike was photographing the boys I made my way down to Macksville to Sheree and Jason’s home where Sheree and her girls were getting ready. There was so much life in the house …. excitement and nerves filled the air! I started by capturing a few details images of shoes, flowers, dress etc before Sheree put on her gorgeous dress. It’s such an exciting moment when the dress finally goes on. I think this is one of the most exciting times for a bride. At this point the wedding became real. It’s a very emotional time for everyone particularly a bride. It’s a beautiful part of the day to photograph…. That’s why I always keep it to myself when Mike and I capture a wedding together. 🙂

Jason’s Dad’s Jaguar arrived at the house while Sheree was putting her dress on. How exciting it was to see the wedding car arrive through the window as the girls were helping Sheree make the final preparations for the ceremony. We than made our way up to Nambucca for the ceremony.

The ceremony was held at the Nambucca Catholic Church. The ceremony was short but was really beautiful to see such a cute couple exchange their vows. Sheree and Jas had a large amount of guest…. Thanks to you all for helping in getting the group and family photos done quickly!! Makes our job so much easier.

Sheree and Jas had their photos taken around Nambucca and Valla before heading to the Valla Beach Resort for their wedding reception. I loved Sheree and Jas’ decorations. It was really beautiful inside. Thanks to Marcus for great the awesome music/atmosphere for the evening.

Sheree and Jas hired a Photo Booth for the evening which is a awesome way to entertain the guest during the queiter times of the evening. Mike and I are purchasing a Photo Booth in July as it’s such a great idea for wedding receptions!!

Thanks so much for an awesome day guys. Both Mike and I had such a great time.

Lisa & Andrew’s Wedding

May 24, 2013

Mike and I recently headed over to Tamworth to be part of Andrew and Lisa special day. It was a real privilege to hear Lisa and Andrew’s love story and share such a special day of their lives together.

Mike started the day with Andrew and his boys just out-of-town a little out-of-town. After a few preparation photos he headed back into town with the  boys on the Pavillion Bus.

Meanwhile I was with the girls at the Tamworth Powerhouse motel. Lisa and her girls were great… They were well organised which meant we had heaps of time to capture this awesome part of the day. Lisa looked beautiful… Was so jealous of her gorgeous thick hair. 🙂

Andrew and Lisa’s wedding was held at the Pavillion in Tamworth. The Pavillion is a stunning and very romantic setting to host a wedding. They were married by the lake as their beloved friends and family witnessed their exchanging vows and starting of their new life together. The temperature throughout the day was extremely pleasant… Just beautiful!

While Andrew and Lisa had their photos taken around the venue their guest enjoyed the most amazing canapes. The food was yum!! We had some really amazing light that we worked with which made for some beautiful images. 🙂

Following the photo shoot we enjoyed the reception of Lisa and Andrew. It was a beautiful reception. Andrew and Lisa had something a little different for their cake…. An ice cream cake. It was Yum. What a great idea guys. Also loved the fingerprint tree for all the guest to use.

Hope you guys had an awesome honeymoon. And enjoyed the rest of the reception after we headed off.

Joh and Andrew’s Tamworth Wedding

May 15, 2013

Recently Joh and Andrew tied the knot at the Mary Help of Christian’s Church in Tamworth. Many of you would remember this very cute couple from their engagement session which Mike photographed a little earlier in the year. Mike unfortunately had some prior commitments to attend to on their wedding day so Joh and Andrew got stuck with me. The poor things!!

It’s not normally my habit but the wedding day was the first time I had met Joh and Andrew. I had lots of conversations with Joh prior to the wedding via email, text and the phone so was really looking forward to meeting them. It was an awesome day. So relaxed and went so smoothly.

Before starting Joh and Andrew’s wedding I headed over to my favorite Sushi place in Tamworth. It’s a bit of a tradition for me when We’re in Tamworth to get Sushi from Noddle Bento… Mike’s tradition is Oporto’s- Kinda Silly really.

I started the day with Andrew and his boys. The boys were awesome. Joh and Andrew’s page-boy was so well-behaved during the entire day. It’s always hard for the younger ones as it’s such a big day!!

The girls were getting ready at Joh’s parents house. They were ready when we arrived and so fun of life. You looked awesome Joh… You girls were so helpful especially our little flower girl Ellie… She was amazing. I loved Ellie’s hair… The cutest ever! Ellie was so well-behaved throughout the whole photo shoot that she accompanied us on the entire shoot 🙂 I think she really stole the show!!

Joh and the girls arrived at the ceremony right on time in their bridal cars. I loved the girls being on time. It means the whole afternoon will run to time and we don’t have to rush through the family photos. The time of Joh and Andrew’s day was perfect.

After the ceremony we photographed the family photos outside the church before heading to the Post Office and King George Ave for photos. We timed our arrival at King George so perfectly and caught the amazing half hour of sun light. The light was magic. Joh and Andrew glowed… The colours were so vibrant. The light we had on the afternoon of Joh and Andrew’s wedding is my absolute favorite type of light to work with.

Joh chose a purple as her colour theme. It photographed beautifully with the orange flowers. The contrast was perfect. The bridesmaid dresses were gorgeous featuring a single strap across the shoulder. Joh’s dress was made from a really beautiful satin. It felt amazing!

Guys it was an awesome day. Thanks so much for sharing it with us. It was a real pleasure capturing your special day and all the amazing moments you guys shared on your wedding day.

Megan & Paul’s Aanuka Beach Resort Wedding

May 6, 2013

A few weeks back the very adorable Megan and Paul exchanged Vows at Aanuka Beach Resort. I first met Megan and Paul at Tim and Hayley’s wedding last year in Kempsey. Paul in Tim’s little brother and both Megan and Paul were in the bridal party. 🙂 It was awesome to see Hayley and Tim, as I really enjoyed capturing their wedding for them too 🙂

Megan and Paul’s wedding was a lot of fun. They are really cute and such a quirky couple. 🙂 I started my Dad with Paul and his boys who were super organised and ready when I arrived…. Such great boys 🙂 I did a few portraits of the boys before heading over to the other end of the resort to capture our very beautiful Megan and her girls. Megan’s dress was beautiful. I was so excited to see how she looked in the dress …. I was certainly not disappointed. Megan was a real life doll. So beautiful and cute.

Megan and Paul exchanged their vows in the chapel at Aanuka. It was a perfect location for their fairy tale ceremony. Megan and paul were super adorable and were so happy during the ceremony. I don’t think I stopped smiling. As a photographer it is something special to be able to capture such beautiful moments between a couple when they formalise such an important commitment. A really beautiful ceremony guys.

After the ceremony we spent a little time congratulating the couple and some time doing family photos. Family photos are such an important part of the dad. It’s beautiful to be able to take images for couples that will mean so much to them and their families in the years to come.

We didn’t leave the resort for the formal photos. There is so much to work with around the resort there really isn’t a need to spend time travelling to other locations. The chapel was a fitting place to start the formal part of the photos as it was the location they exchanged vows. It was certainly no hard task to capture some truly beautiful moments between Megan and Paul. They really do have a special spark between them. Such a beautiful love story.

After our photos around the chapel we visited a few other locations around aanuka before heading into the reception which was held in the breakers room. It was a very enjoyable reception and was awesome to be able to share it with family and friends of Megan and Paul. I loved their substitute for a cake. Paul loves his donuts so instead of having cake they had a donut tour…. Awesome idea guys and certainly unique. I loved it.

I hope that you are both having a really awesome time in Thailand. Your images would have arrived a work by now awaiting your arrival home. Thanks so much for letting us be part of your special day.
