Rach and Andy’s engagement session

July 10, 2012

Recently we caught up with Rach and Andy. Their wedding is next year but thought it would be great to have their engagement session in the winter months as the sun is so beautiful and too so they can use their gorgeous images as part of their special day.

Rach and Andy chose to have their photos taken in a more country setting so we headed out of down a little to capture some special moments together. It was such a gorgeous afternoon. But was of course a little chilling. Poor Rach, I hope you didn’t get too cold. I think the few goosebumps we all got were worth it thou.

Rach and Andy made the cuties little “She said yes” sign. I loved it. It suited so much to country theme for their photos.

We are really looking forward to the wedding guys. Here are just a few images from the shoot. We will share some more on Facebook soon.

Jodi and Jim

July 9, 2012

Recently I photographed the wedding of Jodi and Jim. Their gorgeous wedding was held at the Anchors Wharf Cafe in Urunga. It was such a gorgeous day.  Jodi and Jim chose just to have a very small part of their special day photographed so I in fact started shooting just before the ceremony. When I arrived at the ceremony it was a bit of a reunion with a few of our brides and grooms. It was lovely to see Shannon and Mitch. I photographed their wedding a few months back down at Valla Beach. It was also great to catch up with Tom and Hayley. Tom is Jim’s brother. Their wedding was a few months ago also. It was great to see you all guys!!

Jodi and Jim’s wedding was such a delight to photograph. Their was so much laughter and emotion to be shared on their special day. The ceremony was held on the deck of the Anchors Wharf Cafe. When Jodi arrived I was so excited to see her. She looked amazing and the dress was so perfect showing off her beautiful bump!  It was so gorgeous. Jodi’s dad accompanied her down the aisle. Jim looked so happy to be marrying his beautiful bride. It makes me smile and so happy to photograph two people who really love each other. I really loved the Vintage relaxed feel of the ceremony, you guys did so well putting it together. It was such a perfect ceremony and was really a pleasure to capture the joining of two beautiful people!

After the ceremony we spent some time photographing family and friends on the deck before heading out for photos with Jodi and Jim. Jodi and Jim had their photos in the park at Urunga. It was beautiful! Even though the photos were taken at a time of day that’s not ideal for photos ….. it was stunning. The winter sun never disappoints. Even though winter is cold and not so desirable for weddings because it is a little cooler it’s certainly my favorite time of year to photograph!!

It was such a pleasure sharing your special day with you both Jodi and Jim. I hope you guys had a great time off together after the wedding and all is going well.

Here are just a few images that I have been looking forward to sharing with you all. I will post some more on our Mike and Amy Photographers facebook page soon!

Linda and Noel’s Wedding

July 6, 2012

After a wonderful five years together, and after much preperation and planning the time had finally come for Linda and Noel to be married. Last Saturday was the day, and wasn’t it just beautiful.

The beginning of the day for me this day was the ceremony which was held at the Bongil Bongil National Park, in a beautiful picnic area surrounded by lovely big trees. Norm was there well before time, and he along with his two groomsmen did the whole nervous wait together. ‘Married by Sam’ was the celebrant for the intimate ceremony where Linda and Norm’s close friends and family were gathered. After making Norm wait a few minutes Linda arrived… and you could see the excitement as she got out the car and started to walk towards the ceremony and down the aisle.

It wasn’t long before the kiss, ring exchange and signing had all taken place and the ceremony was over and Linda and Norm were married. After group and family photos it was time for the official photos and all the candid ones that go along with it. We did some shots with the bridal party around Bongil Bongil before heading to the beach in Sawtell. By this time our happy couple were very relaxed and we were able to get some great shots. After the beach it was into the town itself for a few last shots in the available light.

I really enjoyed doing your brief wedding coverage Linda and Norm! Here are a few photos from the day.

By the time you read this you’re probably back from your road trip, I hope you had an awesome time!

Alana and Trent

July 2, 2012

While Mike and I were visiting Tamworth catching up with some of our gorgeous couples we took some time to capture some images of Alana and Trent. Their wedding is in October and I can’t believe how fast it is coming around… it’s incredible!  It’s hard to believe we are already half way through the year!

Alana and Trent are so cute together, it was lovely to have been able to finally met them in person. I say that often but after several emails and phone calls to our couples you soon get eager to met them.  Alana and Trent’s shot was the last one for the day so we were able to use the gorgeous winter sun at the end of the day, but as soon as the sun disappeared it was so cold or should I say freezing.

We had a great time guys and are super excited about the wedding. Can’t wait! Below are just a few images that we are pleased to share with you all. We will post some more on facebook shortly!

Lana and Nathan

June 27, 2012

Last Saturday Mike and I took advantage of a Saturday off from weddings and caught up with some of September/October brides and grooms. One of those very cute couples was Nathan and Lana. Their wedding is the long weekend in September 🙂 It was the first time we met this gorgeous couple since we were invited to photograph their wedding!

We met Lana and Nathan earlier in the afternoon than we would normally prefer to photograph…. But the afternoon winter sun is so beautiful even early in the afternoon. We had such an awesome time catching up with you guys and are super excited about the wedding 🙂

Here are just a few images from our catch up 🙂
