Melissa and Brett

March 30, 2012

A couple of weeks ago we meet up with Melissa and Brett for their engagement session. They were up from Sydney for the weekend making some final plans for the wedding. We took the opportunity to catch up while they were in town. We meet them at Beach Stone Cafe which will be the location of their wedding reception. It’s such a great little area for photos around there.

It was a gorgeous, warm afternoon such a beautiful day after all the rain we had during the week. Melissa and Brett are getting married tomorrow at Red Rock. I’m so excited for them. Last year I was honoured to photograph Kellie and Nathan’s wedding. Nathan is Melissa’s brother… so am excited to catch up with you guys at the wedding tomorrow!!

It looks like it’s going to be a great week. I hope you had a good trip up from Sydney and enjoy your night’s tonight!!

See you soon.

Hayley and Tom’s wedding

March 22, 2012

Last weekend Mike and I had the privilege to photograph Hayley and Tom’s wedding. The day started off great weather wise but the closer it got to the wedding the more windy it got and then it started to rain also. Despite the weather Hayley and Tom still were able to get married outside as they had planned!

We started the day with Hayley, after getting a few details Mike headed over to Tom’s parents place to capture what was happening there, while I stayed with the girls! It was so relaxed at Hayley’s place … Toni, Laura and Jodie did a great job helping Hayley get ready for her special day. You girls were great 🙂 Hayley’s dress was so gorgeous. It showed her gorgeous big pregnant belly!! She is the most adorable pregnant girl!! With Just 10 weeks to go!!

I than got a lift over to the ceremony with Jodie where Mike had already arrived with the boys. The ceremony was held at Garden Mania. It is a rather gorgeous location. When I arrived I neglected to recognise one of my friends from school…. I do apologise Jamie… It’s just you looked so different… In a good way of course! I was very embarrassed!! Hayley was in my grade at school so was able to catch up with a few girls I went to school with… It was great!!

The ceremony was held under one of the gorgeous trees in the nursery. It was a really beautiful. Both Hayley and Tom couldn’t stop smiling. The ceremony was conducted by Ken Palmer. I loved the banjo that was played as Hayley walked down the aisle with her dad. After the ceremony we headed straight for the shoot as the weather wasn’t looking very promising. We than captured a few family photos before heading into the reception.

The reception was so gorgeous, It was a relaxed reception and intimate with just close friends and  family. Hayley’s brother Nigel who is a chef prepared all the food for the reception. Thanks so much for our gluten-free pizza’s they were so good 🙂 Tony, Hayley’s mum did an amazing job with the cake 🙂

Thanks so much Hayley and Tom for sharing such a beautiful day with us. We hope everything goes well with the arrival of you litte one. I will chat to you very shortly.

Tash and Mat’s wedding!

March 20, 2012

A couple of days after their engagement session Tash and Mat exchanged their vows at the gorgeous Bonville International Golf Resort. The day was so amazing but it was really hot… the poor boys in their suits… I was really hot and I was wearing a cotton dress!

I started the day meeting with the boys in Sawtell and got a few preparation photos before heading to the girls who were at the Golf Resort. Tash’s bridesmaids were so fantastic. When I arrived they helped me get the room neat and ready for Bridal Prep photos. It was such a fun time capturing the images of Tash getting her dress on and making her final touches before she walked down the aisle. The time went so fast and before we knew it we were at the ceremony.

The ceremony was held over looking the first tee at the resort. It was so hot as i’ve already mentioned! Tash and Mat were not bothered by the heat during their ceremony. It was a really adorable ceremony preformed by Ken Palmer. Something that made Tash and Mat’s ceremony a little unique was the Tash’s mum after the rings were exchanged placed Tash’s engagement ring back on her hand… which I thought was very special! Tash and Mat are a couple that really care about each other and have a special place for both their friends and family, it was beautiful to be able to witness such a ceremony.

After the ceremony we found some shade and did some family photos! Before heading off in the Golf Buggies. The Golf Resort is so beautiful… There is so much to work with that I often don’t know where to start LOL!! Tash and Mat are very gorgeous together it was not a struggle to capture some really beautiful moments between them. Even though it was so hot for the ceremony by the time we were ready to go on location the temperature had cooled and it was very pleasant for the afternoon.

Tash and Mat’s reception was held at the resort also. I was really touched by the speeches, I hope they don’t mind me sharing but Tash and Mat’s wedding date was selected because it is the date of Mat’s  grandmothers birthday. I think it was a beautiful way to remember someone dear to them and they would have made their grandmother very happy!

It was a really beautiful day guys… and I had a great time capturing such a special part of your life together.

Here are just a few images from the shoot and I will post more on facebook soon. I hope you had a great time in the Blue Mountains.

Mel and Sean

March 19, 2012

Recently Mike and I met with Mel and Sean in Grafton. It’s always lovely to be able to met with a couple particularly after endless emails!! LOL. Mel and Sean are getting married in Grafton at the end of April. I think they are getting very excited about their special day as it’s only about 5 weeks away now!

We met with Mel and Sean after they finished work at See Park. The ground was rather wet the yuk but the sun was out and all the gorgeous colours around the park made for a really awesome shot. Mel and Sean photograph so well together… I can’t wait to see how gorgeous they will look together on the wedding day.

We hope all your planning and final touches go well in the next few weeks. Here are just a few images from the shoot! I will post more on facebook shortly!
