Deborah and Noel Married

November 4, 2011

Recently Deborah and Noel were married at the Anglican cathedral in Grafton. Deborah and Noel are currently in Hawaii and Im sure they are having the best time. Mike and I are a little envious… we loved Hawaii when we visited in 09. The tropical smell when you get off the plane at the airport is just awesome. The pineapple drinks from the international market place are just awesome also.  I hope that you get to visit the North Shore when you are there, Ted’s bakery does the best chocolate and coconut pie…..it’s to die for!!!

Deborah and Noel are such a cute couple. It was a great pleasure to be part of their special day. The day started with a few snaps of Deborah preparing for the ceremony at their home at Waterview Heights, followed by a few images of Noel at the cathedral. Deborah’s sister helped Deb prepare for her big day. My feelings went out to Deb’s gorgeous Mum who unfortunately wasn’t well for her daughter’s special day but put a on a brave face and even made it to the reception. I just loved Deb’s boutique, a gorgeous array of roses Deb and Noel’s favorite flower. In fact Deb and Noel have the most beautiful rose garden that they enjoying growing together.

You may have noticed that Deb and Noel chose not to have a bridal party. Which meant their day was about them as a couple without distractions. The ceremony was such but special for this gorgeous couple. After the ceremony as family photos were taken at the cathedral followed by some snaps of their friends their friends replaced their bridal party 🙂

It was such a beautiful afternoon in Grafton which mean we could take our time and visit many of the gorgeous locations around Grafton. We went to Fig Tree Ave, See part, the old post office and then visited one of Deb and Noel’s friends who lived on the river bank, just near the Grafton Bridge.

The photo shoot was followed by their reception at the Ex-Services Club in South Grafton. It overlooked the Grafton River. Deb and Noel’s guests enjoyed the fun of the photobooth. It was a great day and a great evening.

We hope that you are having the best time in Hawaii and we will talk to you both soon.

Susan and Scott’s Wedding

October 31, 2011

It seems like ages ago now that we photographed the engagement session for Susan and Scott way back in April of this year. Doesn’t time fly! The time had now come for them to tie the knot.

To begin the day I headed to the charming inland town of Gunnedah, not too far from Tamworth. I met up with Scott and his best man along with his mum, auntie and nan at the hotel for a few photos to start with before heading out to the Hilltop where Susan and her girls were getting ready and where the wedding was going to be held. The house was quite beautiful and the grounds around it imaculate. As we were a little early I did some decoration shots around the marque and gardens, Susan and Scott had put a lot of effort into making the decorations really unique and so much of it had been hand made.

After a few shots of the dress, bouquet, shoes, etc we were able to do some quick portraits of Susan before the ceremony was to begin.

Scott looked quite pleased with himself as Susan walked down the aisle! The ceremony was very nice and intimate, set among the trees of the Hilltop and overlooking some of the property, the sky was blue and the sun was shining, A perfect day for a wedding in such a beautiful location.

After the ceremony we did some family photos and then went on to the photo shoot. There was so much to work with on the property that we were able to spend the whole shoot at the one location.

After the photos it was then time for the reception, the meal, speeches and dancing all made for a memorable evening.

Hope you enjoyed your relaxing trip up Byron Bay way! Here are a few photos for now!

Carley and Marley’s Wedding

October 29, 2011

A few days ago we posted some pics of Carley and Marley’s Engagement photos, now it’s time for a few pics of their wedding! Not many couples have names rhyme, so we knew we would be in for a treat when we turned up to photograph their day.

We began the day at their beautiful new home in Woolgoolga to photograph the pre-ceremony getting ready shots of Carley and her bridesmaids, along with of course mum and dad. Everything was ready when I arrived and we were able to get straight to work doing photos! Having everything so well organised made it a breeze.

After the girls portraits I headed over the other side of Coffs Harbour to the Bonville International Golf Resort for some shots of the boys and the ceremony. I’m not much into golf to be honest, but it is just beautiful out there and I can certainly see the attraction as to why people play there and of course why people choose to get married there too!

We had a few minnutes to photograph Marley and his Groomsmen before it was time to start the ceremony. Betsy White was the celebrant for Carley and Marley and as usual did a beautiful job. Betsy was one of Carley’s primary school teachers so she had the special priviledge of now marrying her to Marley.

After the ceremony and family portraits we did some shots with the cars and then headed around the Bonville Golf Resort on the golf buggies to some of the beautiful locations on offer.

Had a fantastic time on the shoot, here are a few pics for now, looking forward to sharing the rest with you very soon! 🙂

Brooke and Grant

October 28, 2011

Recently Mike and I headed up to Gold Coast/Murwillumbah to purchase the rest of our needs for our trip to Africa and also to hike Mt Warning, as an attempt to train for Mt Kilimanjaro.

While we were up that way we took the opportunity to catch up with the gorgeous Grant and Brooke. They are such a cute couple. We choose to do the shot near the Ballina Beach Resort. This just happened to be where Brooke and Grant spend much time hanging out and Grant surfing. It was such a gorgeous afternoon!

We had a great time on the shoot. I think I spent more time chatting than I did shooting… thankfully Mike was there to make up for it!!

congratulations guys… looking forward to the wedding in March.

Kristie and Chris

October 27, 2011

Recently I was delighted to attend the wedding of Kristie and Chris. It was such a perfect day. Everything ran so smoothly. As usual I started the day with the boys who were getting ready on Victoria Street in Grafton. After a few images with them I headed out to Kristie and Chris farm at Waterview Heights.

The girls were great… All ready to put their dresses on and were rather relaxed. The flower girls were all so wonderfully behaved and looked just gorgeous. I loved Kristie’s dress… the flowers that ran down the side of the dress were just was superb. When we arrived at Kristie’s place I started by getting a few snaps of the details around the house… the flowers, the dress and the shoes. We than captured the exciting time of Kristie putting her gorgeous dress on, followed by her veil, shoes and jewelery.  Kristie and her girls look beautiful!!

Sadly Kristie’s grandfather wasn’t well enough to make it to the wedding but it was lovely for them to be able to pop over and she Kristie and their great-grand daughters before the wedding.

Once we were ready to head to the ceremony Kristie, her parent and girls headed to a nearby property where the cars were waiting. Kristie had put some much thought into event he cars her and her girls would be arriving in.

The ceremony was held at St Mary’s Catholic Church on Victoria Street, in Grafton. After the ceremony, family photos were taken at the church followed by the formal group photos. At this point the thunder started and we certainly thought that we would be caught in the storm for our shoot, but thankfully the storm held off until the reception.

Kristie and Chris had their photos first taken at Fig Tree ave. This is one of my favorite places around Grafton for photos. We than headed to the post office and the court house to finish the shoot.

The reception was held a Grafton Golf Course. The highlight of the reception for me was the beautiful song and dance Kristie’s flower girls had prepared for the reception. You did such a wonderful job girls.

Thanks for a great day… Here are just a few images from the day. We will upload some more onto facebook shortly. We are really looking forward to catching up with Kristie and Chris for their post wedding shoot or Trash the dress shoot!!
