Slater Family Photos!!
At the end of a very busy long weekend Mike and I caught up with the Slater family for some family photos. We were concerned about the weather for the shoot but it ended up being a beautiful afternoon. We meet the family at the park in front of the Urunga Pub. It’s such an awesome park.
Penny and Swen’s face might look familar to some of our long term blog followers… we photographed their wedding last year. It was very exciting to meet their new addition to the family. Penny and Swen recently had a baby girl.
It was also great to finally meet Michaela from the North Coast Weddings magazine. I often chat to Michaela on the phone or via email but hadn’t met her in person until their family shoot. It was so lovely to have meet Michaela … Finally!!
We had a great time as usual with the family …. I think I had a sore stomach from laughing so much… Thanks to Swen!! LOL!!
Here are just a few photos from the day.

Amanda and Brett
Amanda and Brett were married in the little NSW town of Kyogle. The town is surrounded by beautiful rainforest, rolling hills and large areas of farmland. It’s also an area which I kind of grew up in, well the nearby town of Casino was anyway. I always enjoy heading out that way and for Amanda and Brett’s wedding it was no different.
After setting up our photobooth ready for the reception I headed to where Amanda and her girls were getting ready for some pre-wedding shots. The previous day they had huge storms go through the area and Amanda sure was hoping that today was going to be different! After doing some shots of the girls we headed to where the ceremony was going to be held. Kyogle has a little spot known as the Amphitheatre, and here is where the ceremony was to be held.
The boys were there early after getting ready in Lismore so we did a few photos of them before the ceremony started.
Amanda’s dad had the priviledge of walking her down the aisle, whilst Brett patiently waited. Thankfully the rain held off for the ceremony and family portraits, but within moments after it started bucketing it down and we had to run back to the cars!
Amanda and Brett had hired a stretch Limo fron Byron Bay as their wedding car and we visited a couple of Kyogles scenic spots for some photos.
Once back at the reception (and after our bridal party had gone for a joy ride in the limo) it was straight into the evenings proceedings and photobooth! The cake cut, bridal waltz and other formalities were then soon to follow.
Amanda and Brett spent some time up at the Gold Coast for their honeymoon, By now they may have returned home, so here are a few images from the day. Will be sending the rest to you very shortly!

Caitlin and Ryan Married
During this month we had the privelege of being part of the Caitlin and Ryan’s special day. I was a little concern the morning of Caitlin and Ryan’s wedding as the weather presented us with thunder/lightening and heavy rain. But by 3.30pm when their ceremony was due to start the storm had cleared and the sun was starting to shine through.
I started the day with Ryan and his grooman’s at his parents home. Ryan seemed fairly nervous. After a few preparation photos with the boys I than headed to wear the girls were preparing for the wedding just down from the little church that they soon would wed in. Caitlin and her girls were so organised and Caitlin was itching to get into her gorgeous dress. It brought a tear to my eye when Caitlin got into her dress… as everyone would agree she looked so beautiful. The dress was a stunning pale pink, I loved the gorgeous bow on the front of the dress. Caitlin purchased her dress from Melanie Jayne Bridal….. Melanie and Anna are so lovely and would imagine they would be a delight to work with. Caitlins too bridesmaids were so beautiful too. I loved the colour themed that was choosen, it is so timeless and elegant.
Caitlin arrived at the church pretty close to time. It was so lovely to watch and capture Caitlin and Ryan as she walked down the isle…. just beautiful. After the ceremony we headed to the steps at Murray’s for a few images. Caitlin and Ryan had thier engagement images down here earlier in the year and also is the place the Ryan proposed to his gorgeous Caitlin. I know it sounds corny but the lighting was so perfect at the time which meant for the most gorgeous images.
After a few snaps here we than headed out to some railway tracks at Bonville for some images. It was such perfect time as once it was too dark to shoot anymore it started to pour. So pleased that the rain held off for their day.
Cailin and Ryan celebrated their wedding with family and friends at the Coffs Harbour Surf Club. My favorite part of the reception was the lollie bar…. it looked so cool and im sure that all the sweets tasted so good too!!
Congratulation Caitlin and Ryan… I hope that you had a great week off after the wedding and are settling into married life. It’s a pleasure to share a few images from the day. Thanks for such a great day.

Christal and Naemon married!
The day Christal and Naemon got married was forecast for thunderstorms and heavy showers, for the morning of their big day that is what they got. But where they worried? Well Christal certainly didn’t appear to be when I saw here!
We started with a few bridal prep photos at a beach house in Mullaway not far from Coffs Harbour. Christal and the girls were so organised! Ready to go as soon as I arrived! After photographing the girls I headed back into Coffs for some portraits of the boys at the Botanic Gardens before the ceremony which was also held there. Thankfully the rain had stopped by this point!! Once Christal arrived the sun came out and we were able to enjoy a beautiful garden ceremony.
Chrisal and Naemon had been together since they were 17 and now it was time for them to tie the knot. Wedding celebrant Gayle McCosker did a fantastic job of looking after the proceedings in the intimate ceremony surrounded by family and friends.
After family portraits were finished we were able to spend some time in the beautiful garden surrounds, before heading back to Mullaway for some final shots. We did some photos with the cars before taking Christal and Naemon for some photos on the headland overlooking the ocean. The day went so smoothly thanks to Christals organisation!
I had a fantastic time photographing your day! Here are some photos to look at for now, enjoy your honeymoon in Phuket, Thailand!

Emma and Joel’s Beautiful Country Wedding
Recently I had the privledge of photographing the wedding of Emma and Joel. It was such a gorgeous day- the rain held off until well into the reception and was a perfect temperature all day.
Emma and Joel are the cutest couple. How great do they both look! Emma made her stunning dress with a frabic that Joel’s grandmother had left for the family. Just beautiful Emma! Emma and Joel meet at the university in Newcastle and from there, their friendship has blossomed into the preceious relationship they share today.
Speaking to Emma in the months before the wedding and on the wedding day I could see that she had a real vision for how she wanted her day to be. And what a amazing job you did. They had a garden/country wedding which was hosted by Joel generous parents. The ceremony was held in on of the back paddocks of their property. It was such a beautiful setting. The family had prepared the sits that all the guest sat on for the ceremony. As you walked from the house where both Emma and Joel prepared for their day to the ceremony, you walked down a path that Joel’s father had made. Along the path there were placed paper spinning wheels and love hearts hang from the trees. It set the feeling and mood of the ceremony that was about to commence.
Following the ceremony we did some family photos and group photos and than I took Emma and Joel to the back of the property for some gorgeous photos under the old trees.
The reception was held in the front yard of the families country property. It was so relaxing with the table and chairs set up, the cusions and blankets were just a fantastic addition.
Emma and Joel also had a photobooth set up in the house. The guest had such a great time… I am looking forward to posting some of these images up on our Mike and Amy Facebook Page.
One of my favorite additions to Emma and Joel’s special day was the ice cream van they hired so their guest and them could enjoy an icecream. It reminded me of when we were kids and in summer lined up with all the other kids for our icecream!
It was such a amazing day to be part of and I had such a great time. Thank you so much for such a enjoyable day. I hope you had a fantastic time at the gold coast.
My dull explanation of the day gives it no justice, so here are just a few images of their stunning day. I look forward to sharing more.
Kind Regards
