Charlie and Cookie
Last Saturday Mike and I photographed the Wedding of Charlie and Cookie. It was such a beautiful spring day! What a great start to the first weekend in spring!! We made our way out to Sawtell to capture the happenings before the wedding. Cookie and his boys got ready at Charlie and Cookie’s home. It was very funny to see the boys madly get dressed when we arrived….. with the boys telling us ” Don’t tell Charlie we weren’t ready when you got here!” Boys we did tell Charlie and she just laughed! LOL!! 🙂
Charlie and her girls were making their final touches when we arrived at their preparation location and were able to capture some images of Charlie having her makeup touched up and dressed done up. It was such a great atmosphere at the girls place… all the excitement of the big day was just overflowing.
Charlie and Cookie chose to share their ceremony at the end of the Coffs Harbour Jetty. Beautiful Weddings arranged the ceremony. It was a gorgeous atmosphere at the Jetty with the slightest of a breeze. While Charlie was arriving with her bridesmaids, Charlie’s mum collected flowers from the couples guests for her bouquet. I thought it was such an awesome idea. Charlie had asked her guests to bring a flower each for her bouquet… it was such a colourful bunch of flowers! 🙂 It was in Charlie’s word “A little surprise for the bride not knowing what flowers she would carry down the isle.”
After their ceremony we stayed at the end of the Jetty for a group photo of the guests followed by family photos. We than stayed around the Jetty area for the couple’s formal shoot. I know it’s sounds a little corny, but the lighting for Charlie and Cookie’s shoot was just magic!! – Mike and I are both natural light photographers and use little to no flash when we shoot- so get pretty excited to work with lighting like that. What a perfect day it was for such an awesome couple.
Cookie and his boys had to have some photos with Leon while we were up near Gallows. Leon is Cookie’s beloved 1968 Valiant Safari. Charlie says that Cookie loves loading Leon up with his surfboards and heading to the beach for his own little endless summers. Charlie says that it has the perfect bench seats for cosy driving. Leon didn’t make it on the blog but there will be some photos up on the our facebook page.
Charlie and Cookie’s reception was at the Coffs Harbour Surf club- the very place they met. Cookie also does all his surf patrolling through the surf club. They thought it would be the most approirate place to celebrate their special day.
Thanks Charlie and Cookie and your bridal party for such a great day. Here are just a few images from your special day 🙂

Mike and Mel Engaged
Last Sunday afternoon we were able to catch up with the gorgeous Mike and Mel for their engagement session. We meet them at Bonville Golf Resort.
It was the most beautiful Sunday afternoon. The sun was shinning and you could really tell that Spring was about to begin. The Bonville Golf Resort is a special place for Mike and Mel, not only because of Mike’s love of Golf and this stunning course but it was also the spot that they enjoyed their first date together. Their love story began at this special place and it will also be the place they exchange their wedding vowels and celebrate with family and friends!
We had a great time capturing such a cute couple!!
Thanks for such an enjoyable afternoon. Here is just a few images from the shoot.

Bec and Troy Married
We woke last Sunday morning to the sound of pouring rain and thought…. poor Bec and Troy and hoped that it wouldn’t put a dampener on their day! Despite the pouring rain in the morning and the extreme wind in the afternoon it was such a beautiful wedding and certainly wasn’t affected too much by the weather.
Bec and Troy meet some years ago now… way back in their Year 7 Japanese class… I wonder how much of the Japanese lessons they remember! LOL! From that point there love story unfolds and lead to them sharing their wedding day together with their beautiful daughter Rosie.
From the moment we seen Troy and his groomsmen we knew it was going to be a great day. When we asked Troy was he nervous about the day he replied and said “No” and that this was another day in their lives together….. I really loved this comment as it showed that there was no question he loved his Beccy and that they wanted to share this day together. With this excitement of being able to photograph a couple that truly loved each other we started the boys preparation photos. The boys were great fun and so relaxed! 🙂
After photographing the boys we than headed to the other end of the resort where we found Bec and her girls who were equally relaxed and excited about the day! The girls were a breeze, with everything ready for us to start capturing all the special details of their day. I must say Bec you looked beautiful
As with Jada and Paul last week Bec and Troy had arranged to meet for a first look. We love first looks you really get to see a couples friendship and relationship come to life. We were able to get some photos of the bridal party and Rosie before the ceremony began.
With Rosie in his arms, Bec’s father escorted her down the aisle. It brought tears to my eye when she stood at the entrance of the Chapel at Aanuka and just looked at her beloved Troy… what a special moment! The tears, laughter, smiles and kisses shared between Bec and Troy during the ceremony really was something special.
After the ceremony we braved the wind and rain to capture some special memories for Bec and Troy.
Thank you to you both for sharing such a special day with us and a big thank you to the bridal party for being so co-operative despite the weather.. it made it so easy for us. Best wishes Bec for your the start of your new job this week. 🙂

Jada and PJ Wedding
Last weekend we had the privilege of sharing the wedding of Jada and PJ. They were married at the Chapel at Aanuka Beach Resort.
Jada and PJ meet at University and along their journey together have brought beautiful little Isabelle into the world. It was a gorgeous day, the weather was very kind to us.
We started the day with PJ and his groomsmen and were able to get a few images of them getting ready. We than headed over the Jada and the girls to capture some images of their final preparation.
Jada and PJ choose to have most of their formal shoot done prior to the ceremony so we headed over to the Chapel where Jada and PJ had their first look. It was such a honour to be able to capture an emotional and happy time between them.
After the ceremony while the guest enjoyed capers we made our way to the beach at Aanuka to use the remaining light.
It was a beautiful day, thank you for sharing your special day with us and best wishes with the purchase of your first home.

Baby Laura and Jayden
Last week were able to catch up with Kylie, Chris, Jayden and beautiful little Laura. It was so lovely to finally meet Laura. She arrived while we were in Vietnam and I have been excited to meet her. It was also really nice to be able to catch up with Kylie and Chris and to see how much little Jayden has grown.
Both Jayden and Laura were so well behaved… it made it a real pleasure to be able to capture this part of their life as a family.
Here are just a few photos from the shoot. Hope you enjoy.
