Rochelle and Shane’s Wedding | Coffs Harbour | Mike & Amy
The beautiful Aanuka Beach Resort in Coffs Harbour was the location of Rochelle and Shane’s Wedding a few weeks ago. Awesome blue skies and warmth greeted us for their special day. The groom prep, bridal prep and everything else was done on location so that made for a stress free day (well minimal stress at least!) for everyone involved.
I have to admit some of my favourite shots from the day are of Rochelle and her dad walking down the aisle, I don’t know what it was he was saying but it sure made Rochelle look so happy and relaxed. The beautiful bridesmaids were great as well and did a good job fulfilling all their various roles.
After the ceremony the photo shoot was done entirely on the grounds of Aanuka and on the nearby beach, so no travel was involved but a few minutes walking between locations. The sun was pretty intense at the time of day we were shooting but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing as it made for such rich colours and a beautiful warm glow! Besides, there was plenty of shade just a little further up the beach and there is where we finished our shoot.
The reception was held overlooking the lagoon and was fun for everyone there.
A fantastic day for me! Here is some photos of the day.

Mary & Rob’s Wedding| Melbourne| Mike & Amy
Not to long ago now the very beautiful and vibrant Mary and Rob were married at the St Mary’s Armenian Orthodox Church in Surry Hill- Melbourne. It was an amazing Sunday afternoon – I loved every minute of this special day!! The ceremony was followed by family photos and then photos in a couple of locations throughout Melbourne.
The reception was hosted a Church 364 on Bridge Street in Richmond.
Mary and Rob met through a mutual friend who played cupid and introduced this adorable couple. It took Mary and Rob a couple of months for them to actually have their first date, but they finally did it and both knew that this was something special. By Mary and Rob’s second date she felt like she was home in the way Rob held her in his arms- these first and second dates lead them to the beautiful day I had the privilege of sharing and capturing for them.
I always love to ask a couple about their proposal on their wedding day…. Mary says:
“Rob proposed on the third anniversary of the day he asked me to be his girlfriend. We had just started living together in an apartment in Richmond. He bent down on one knee with flowers and a ring and said ‘Three years ago on this day I asked you to become my girlfriend and now I am asking you to become my wife”. He was the most nervous I have ever seen him!”
Planning a wedding is always a big task but can be very enjoyable. I asked Mary what she thought was the best part about planning the wedding:
Mary says:
I loved going into the stores and trying on all the beautiful wedding gowns, so many different styles and fabrics – just divine! I think I tried on about 20 dresses in total. I didn’t have long to pick my dress as I had left it a bit late, but I think that was a good thing because it meant I had to make a decision quickly and go with my instincts. I hadn’t considered an open back wedding dress before but I knew I wanted something a little bit different and when I tried this one on I knew it was the one. That night I had a vivid dream of wearing it, the next day I went back and purchased it.
Mary’s dress was absolutely perfect!! You looked amazing Mary and Rob looked rather dapper as well. Rob, Im really sorry that you were really unwell for your wedding but Im sure everyone agreed that you did so well.
Mary and Rob had a little advice for upcoming brides they wish to share with you all:
Stay true to your style and what reflects you as a couple. It’s easy to get caught up in the wedding hype as the industry is so big, with many expectations and some voices can be very persuasive. It’s ok to do it your way, follow your heart.
Here are a few memories and moments that we were able to capture for the gorgeous Mary and Rob. Thank you for trusting us with you memories. We loved every minute of it.

Bec and Shane’s Tamworth Wedding
I had an awesome time a couple of weeks back when I photographed the wedding of Bec and Shane in Tamworth.
The preparation images were heaps of fun and it wasn’t long at all until we headed to the ceremony at the Catholic Church in West Tamworth. The ceremony is always a great time to get some intimate shots and today was no different. I’m glad I was able capture the kiss though, Bec and Shane, that was fast!
The happy friends and family gave heartfelt congratulations to our couple once outside and from there it was time for family photos, you know, the ones you have to get but are the least enjoyable part of the day for everyone! Once done we could finally do the photo shoot. We went to a few locations around Tamworth, starting in King George V Ave, then working our way to the beautiful Pavillion Function Centre. The grass was so green and the the trees just beautiful, so we did the rest of our shoot there before having the reception at the Pavillion too. The warm weather was very pleasant and the atmosphere really nice at ther reception.
Heres a few photos for you!
The rest will be on their way soon!

Mary & Robs Engagement Session
A little while back now I caught up with Mary and Rob before their wedding for an engagement session. Although it is spring Melbourne was still a little cool and was glad I put something warmer on.
I first met Mary and Rob a little earlier on in the year. When I met them I thought they were rather cute and was excited when they booked the wedding.
We decided that we would have the session at Parliament House in Melbourne’s CBD and in a park just near the Station. The light was beautiful and the location perfect to capture some delightful images of this adorable couple.
Here are just a few images from our session. Excited to share some more on Instagram and facebook shortly.
