Jodie & Gareth’s Aanuka Beach Resort Wedding
A couple of weeks ago now I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Jodie and Gareth. It was only a week before I met up with this cute couple at the Jetty for their engagement session. The wedding came around so fast!
I started the day with Gareth and his best man Kevin at their room at Aanuka. There were a few dramas with Gareth’s first best man he got an infection in his eye a few days for the wedding so Gareth’s brother in-law Kevin stepped in and had the honors of being Gareth’s best man. I hope that everything is ok Gareth with your mate!
After a few images with Gareth, Kevin and Gareth’s two boys Phoenix and Malin, I headed over to Jodie and Tahalia. I was so excited to spend the time with Jodie her daughter Tahalia. I think it was such a special time for mother and daughter to prepare for the wedding ceremony together. It was so beautiful to capture this time together. Tahalia had special surprise for her Mum. It was awesome! She had put her something new, something old, something blue and something borrowed into a box and gave them to Jodie as a gift. It was such a great idea.
Jodie and Gareth were married on the lawns at Aanuka by Cindy Pocock. Her ceremonies are so beautiful! Malin their son carried one of the ring pillows and Phoenix the other and Jodie’s father Alan walked her down the aisle. I loved the bubbles the guest blow as Jodie and Gareth walked back up the other aisle.
After the ceremony we spent some time doing a group photo and family photos on the lawns. A big thanks to all the family for being so great during the family photos its was such a pleasure capturing those important images for such a great bunch of people.
We than headed down to the beach with Kevin and Tahalia and Jodie and Gareth for some formal photos. We couldn’t spend too long on the beach as the weather was looking like it would turn a little bad so we headed back to around the chapel. The weather did hold out for us which was awesome. There was a little time left at the end of the shoot so we could spend some time photographing some of the guests before our gorgeous couple entered there reception.
Thanks for such an aweomse day guys. I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon and Ill chat to you soon.

Tiahnn & Troy’s Bonville Golf Resort Wedding
Last week I had the pleasure of attending the wedding of Tiahnn and Troy at the beautiful Bonville Golf Resort. Some of you may remember Tiahnn and Troy from their engagement session a few months back. Their engagement session was rather funny. It was the first session I had taken my Mark III out for a shoot. I thought I knew best and didn’t look at it before the shoot. When I got to the shoot and realised that I didn’t even know how to turn the silly thing on LOL!!! I’m sure Troy was relieved to see that I knew how to use my camera this time.
I started the day with the boys who were a little behind on getting ready and I really don’t blame them as it was so hot in their three-piece suits. While the boys had their delayed showers I decided it would be better to start on the girls and then come back to the boys which is what I did. It made it really easy as they were both getting ready at Bonville. After capturing all the details of the girls I than headed back to the boys who already had sweat pouring off them… The poor things!! It was such a warm day. I was sweating in my little cotton dress. Due to the heat we captured a few preparation photos and then headed back to the girls.
Tiahnn looked amazing. I really enjoyed the time spend with the girls they are an awesome bunch! It was soon time to head to the ceremony which was held in the rainforest at the resort. The rainforest is a stunning location. I love the way the light comes through the trees. It’s amazing. It was also a lot cooler in the rainforest! After the ceremony we captured a group photo followed by family photos before heading to a couple of shaded locations for the shoot.
Tiahnn and Troy photographed so well together. They are naturally very expressive and it’s awesome to be able to capture some beautiful images that truly document how happy they were on their special day.
We headed into the reception at about 6pm. Kate and her staff at Bonville always ensure things are running to time. After the entre’s and mains were served I headed back out just for 15min with Tiahnn and Troy so we could use the amazing afternoon light that comes through the trees at Bonville. It was so worth it. The last few images we captured were some of my favorite from their special day.
Thank you so much for inviting me to share your special day. It was a real pleasure to document it for you.
I hope that you had an amazing time on your honeymoon and the weather was kind to you.

Jodie and Gareth’s Engagement Session
Jodie and Gareth were married last Saturday. Exactly a week prior to the wedding Mike and I caught up with Jodie and Gareth for their engagement session and to hear all about their final plans for the wedding. We met with Jodie and Gareth at the Jetty and did the shoot around there.
The lighting that afternoon was gorgeous. I loved the colours that Jodie and Gareth had selected to wear for their session. They looked awesome against the backdrop of the Jetty. I had a lot of fun on the shoot. Both Jodie and Gareth are really down to earth and easy to get along with which makes for a really enjoyable time!
I was excited to hear about the beach themed wedding that Jodie and Gareth had planned at Annuka Beach Resort. I was very excited to see how they pulled the theme together. I loved it and can’t wait to share it on the blog with you all.
Here is are some of the images from the session. I will share some more on Facebook shortly and will be blogging the wedding next week for you all to see how gorgeous they both are:-)

Christina & Scott!
The year is certainly underway. We have already photographed our first two weddings for the year and will photograph our third this weekend and then we are taking some leave to recover from the last couple of months. We will be in India for two weeks!! We can’t wait 🙂
Earlier in the month we caught up with Christina and Scott. I first met this very adorable couple a few months back in Coffs and adored them. Their ideas for the wedding sounded so beautiful and think they will photograph amazingly! I was super excited when they booked their wedding as I know they are going to be a lot of fun to work with 🙂 The engagement session was so much fun and I’m sure the wedding will be very enjoyable to be part of.
We met Christina and Scott at the post office in Grafton and checked out a few possible locations for their wedding photos. Grafton has so many beautiful places for photos … it’s always had to choose which locations to choose for the wedding. It was lovely to get to them a little better before the wedding!
It was exciting hearing about Christina and Scott’s wedding plans. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the plans come together and documenting their special day for them!
I had such a good time on the shot….. And Scott, you scrubbed up ok! LOL!! – Nothing to worry about for the wedding!!
Chat to you guys soon.

Katie & Chris’ engagement Session
The year is certainly underway. Mike and I are still do pop up our highlights entries from last year! We are excited for this year. There are lots of exciting things happening. Mike and I are off to India in February for a couple of weeks. It will be amazing to have a break. We are also super excited for this years brides and grooms. They are a great bunch of people and we are very privileged to be sharing their special days with them.
Recently while Katie and Chris were up from Canberra doing some wedding planning we were able to catch up with them for an engagement session. They are one of the awesome couples this year we will have the opportunity of attending their special day.
We met with them at Opal Cove Resort where the wedding will be held in March. Just a couple of weeks after we return home from India.
The afternoon was really gorgeous. The sun warm but a gentle ocean breeze kept things at a pleasant temperature. Katie and Chris are a cute couple and so full of life. It was really a lot of fun getting to know them before the wedding and hearing about all the plans for the wedding. We also enjoyed hearing about your time in India. It made us very excited for our trip.
Looking forward to catching up again at the wedding. It will be an awesome day. We are so excited to share some of the images from the session with you guys.
