Mike and I

June 26, 2012

A  little while ago now Mike and I caught up with Nikki and Jason from Imprint Imaging . We first met Nikki and Jason at a bridal expo a few years ago. We loved their work and said that we would have to get them to do a shot for us and we can do one for their little family. Well that day finally come.  Recently Nikki and Jason made their way up to Coffs Harbour from Taree to met with clients and photograph some of their gorgeous couples so we took the opportunity to catch up with them. They are such a fun couple… it’s a little odd us being on the other side of the camera. I was very nervous and couldn’t stop laughing. As Nikki and Jason are very talented they were able to capture images of us in a very natural way and I had my eyes open. LOL.

We love the imags and wanted to share just a few images from the shoot. Thanks so much Nikki and Jason!

Krystal and Greg E-shoot

June 20, 2012

For the last couple of weeks, we had been trying to arrange to do an engagement portrait session for our awesome couple Krystal and Greg. The first day we organised for the shoot it poured rain all day so we rescheduled… the second day… the same! And not just a little rain, both days we would have been drenched!

Whilst at a wedding, if it rains like that you just have to deal with it, at an engagement session we have the flexibility to reschedule, so thats what we did.

Finally on our third attempt the weather was just perfect! It was last weekend, and we met up at the Macauleys Headland an our or so before sunset for our photos. Even though there was an event that just happened to be on at the beach there was plenty of room for us to sneak away to a quiet spot to take some photos.

Krystal and Greg looked so great together, their clothes matched nicely and they needed barely any direction from me at all!

The wedding will be held later in the year at the beautiful Bonville International Golf Resort. Looking forward to being part of your day!

I had a really good time on the shoot, here are just a few images for now 🙂

Lizzie and Jeremy

June 13, 2012

There has been lots happening recently and lots of planning has gone into the weekends wedding workshop so we have fallen behind a little on our blogging. A few days after arriving home from Thailand I headed up to Grafton to photograph the wedding of Lizzie and Jeremy. Mike assisted me… sometimes I get to assist him also. It’s such a relaxed day when you only have to carry bags and change lenses.

It was such a beautiful winter’s day in Grafton. I was rather excited to photograph the wedding… I love May and June weddings the light is beautiful and the Autumn trees are just divine.

As usual we started the day with our groom Jeremy and his boys, who were getting ready at Jeremy’s parents place. The boys were great… extremely organised and running to time which makes for an easy grooms preparation session. The girls were getting ready at Lizzie’s parents property which was just a few minutes down the road.

I was excited as usual to see what Lizzie’s dress was like… I was certainly was not disappointed… It was simply gorgeous. I was surprised to find our that she had purchased it online! Lizzie looked amazing. I loved the vintage style and the bridesmaids dressed suited the theme so well. There was a mix of emotions in the house when Lizzie was getting ready.. there was lots of nervous feelings and excitement too. I always love to see the emotions of a wedding day and then being able to capture them is such a privilege.

The ceremony was held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Grafton. It was so beautiful so see Peter the father of the bride shed a tear as he walked his stunning daughter down the aisle. It was such a gorgeous and touching ceremony.

After the ceremony we stayed around Grafton for some photos. This time of year is certainly my favorite time of year to photograph. The colour of the Autumn/winter foliage on the trees is just amazing. It was specially beautiful for this wedding as they had chosen the vintage theme. So beautiful! I actually got nervous photographing Jeremy and Lizzie as it was so stunning.

After the photo shoot we headed down to Coffs Harbour. Jeremy and Lizzie had their reception at the beautiful Aanuka Beach resort. We didn’t stay for the reception but I trust that everyone had a great time.

Here are just a few images from the day. We will post some more on facebook soon.

Short Break in Thailand

June 7, 2012

Recently as many of you know Mike and I spend 10 days in Thailand… just for a lazy holiday this time. We had some flights to use so thought a beach holiday was in stall! We only visited Phuket. Our favorite part of the trip was the time we spent on Naka Island which is about 10min boat ride of the mainland of Phuket.   It was so amazing, we stayed in luxury tents and had a gorgeous view of the bay. We spent our whole time at Tenta Nakara laying on the beach, sipping drinks and eating. The food was amazing on the island! The Pad Thai was the best we had and the mango smoothy was so yummy! We just loved this place and will plan another trip there when we want  a beach break. I loved that it was an eco friendly resort and was so private and relaxing. We would differently recommand as a honeymoon destination. We wished we stayed longer here and didn’t spend as long a Patong.

After our time a Tenta Nakara we than headed to Patong beach for a few days but it poured raining so we just hang around the hotel shopped and ate! It was a little disappointing that we didn’t get more time on the beach but it was an awesome break. Here are just a few images from our trip. We will share some more on facebook with you all soon.

Jarrod and Trish’s engagement session

June 6, 2012

A few weeks back now (before we went away for our quick break) I had the opportunity to meet up with a really cute couple, Jarrod and Trish. Whilst there wedding fell during the time in which we would be away we caught up with them to do some portraits beforehand. We met up at the jetty in Coffs Harbour just as the light was starting to soften in the afternoon, Jarrod and Trish were so comfortable with each other it was almost as if I wasn’t even there! This gave us the chance to get some really nice and natural shots.

I really enjoyed photographing you two together, it was an absolute pleasure. I hope everything went well with your wedding!! Here are just a few of the pics from our shoot. 🙂
