Heather and Ben’s Engagement Shoot

June 2, 2012

As most of you can tell from our facebook status Mike and I are back from our short break in Thailand. It’s always nice to go away but really lovely to come home! A few days before we headed off we caught up with Heather and Ben. Heather and Ben’s wedding is planned for the end of the year… It’s going to come around so fast. We apoligise that we weren’t able to share their images on the blog before we left… It was a bit of a rush before we headed off.

We met Heather and Ben at Ben’s parent’s property for their session. Mike took their images as he will be photographing their wedding… I just held bags and kept their two gorgeous dogs amused… well tried to! LOL It’s kinda frustrating just watching the other person shoot… you just want a camera yourself.

Here are just a few images from the shoot. I will be sharing a couple of blog posts about our time in Thailand soon as well as a blog post for the workshop that’s coming up… stay tuned and don’t forget to check out some more of Heather and Ben’s really adorable images on facebook soon.

We are on a short break!

Toni and Clint

May 15, 2012

Last weekend Mike and I photographed the wedding of Toni and Clint. It was such a golrious day! The weather was just perfect. Im loving this weather- I really hope that it sticks around.

You may remember Toni and Clint from their engagement session a few months ago. They are a very cute couple. I can’t believe how fast their wedding come around. Toni was so organised and had most things sorted well before the wedding which meant that the day went so smoothly.

We started the day at the boys… Like most grooms and groomsman we photograph we firstly had to tie their ties and then put their button holes on and then we could start! LOL!! The time with the guys before the wedding always goes so fast!. We were able to snap a few images of Clint Monaro for him. The Manaro has a bit of a story. Clint said Toni could have the wedding if he could have his Monaro…. So finally the Monaro is finished and Toni and Clint had the most perfect wedding day! There was be a real sense of Satisfaction on Clint side to have his Monaro finally finished! It’s been a long project!

After catching up with the boys we headed out to the Bonville Golf Club were Toni and her gorgeous bridesmaids were preparing for their special day. Normally if Mike and I are at a wedding together he would stay with the guys and I with the girls… but this time we stuck together. I always get very excited to arrive at the brides place …. I am usually very anxious to see the dress…. Toni’s dress was amazing… it was so beautiful to photograph, I think it’s one of my favorite dresses all year! 🙂 The girls were a lot of fun to photograph it just time passed so quickly … It was soon time to head to the ceremony. As we started to head to the ceremony it started to rain. Thankfully it passed quiet quickly. Betsy White performed the ceremony. She always does such a lovely job! We always enjoy working with Betsy.

After the ceremony we moved on to the group photo and family photos. We than stuck around the rainforest for a while before heading to Sawtell Beach for the remainder of our shoot. The rainforest is such a gorgeous place for photos!

It was such a beautful day guys. We had so much fun and have been looking forward to posting some photos up for you! We will put some more on facebook soon for you all to see. 🙂

Chat to you soon.

Tahlia and Nathan Aanuka Beach Resort Wedding

May 10, 2012

Last weekend I had the privilege of photographing the wedding of Tahlia and Nathan. It was such a fun wedding. The weather was so perfect which made for a gorgeous day! Tahlia and Nathan’s engagement session was overcast and it poured at the end of the session so it was nice to have such perfect weather for the wedding. Tahlia and Nathan had everything so organised and the day went by like a breeze! Just perfect!

Tahlia and Nathan were married at the beautiful Aanuka Beach Resort! The resort is such a perfect place for a wedding. Tahlia and Nathan chose a black and white theme for the wedding. It was stunning. I always get excited to see how a couple put the colours and themes together to make their wedding perfect and im never disappointed!  The girls looked great in the black dresses! Such a classic and timeless colour selection…. I loved it! The tight bouquet of white roses was elegant and beautiful!

I started the day with the boys and then headed over to where the girls were getting ready. I loved capturing Tahlia’s memories of her getting ready. She was so happy and it was so much fun! Such a delight! It was soon time to head to the ceremony which was held on the lawns at Aanuka. It was so nice to photograph a wedding on the lawns… the last few Aanuka weddings we have photographed have been in the Chapel as it was so wet. Following the ceremony we did a group photo followed by family photos. Once the formalities are all done we were able to relax and enjoy the photo shoot.

We didn’t adventure anywhere other than the resort for photos. The shot was so much fun and the bridal party was so great. We started the photos on the lawn and than headed to the bridge before saving the best light for the beach. It gets dark so fast in the Autum/winter months so it was really a delight that Tahlia and Nathan allowed me lots of time with daylight for their photos it meant we could really relax and capture some beautiful memories.

Thanks for an aweomse day. It was a real pleasure. Hope you are having a great time on your honeymoon. Chat to you guys soon.

Here are just a few images from the day.

Bec and Mark’s Pavillion Wedding

May 5, 2012

Last weekend while Mike was with Mel and Sean I was out at Tamworth at Bec and Mark’s wedding…. and yes we didn’t miss out on the rain!! LOL! You may remember Bec and Mark’s engagement session a few months back… It rained or should I say it poured for their session. It was nice that there was sections of the day were there was no rain!

I started the day with Mark and his boys at the Powerhouse in Tamworth to capture a few images of the boys preparing for the wedding, I than headed out to Bec’s parent’s place out at Moore Creek to capture what was happening out there. I must say the girls were very organised!! It was great! I love it when our brides are super organised when we arrive…. it’s so relaxed!!

We travelled from Moore Creek to the Pavillion for the ceremony. Bec and her girls arrived in white Prado’s….. farm girls for sure 🙂 It started to sprinkle when the ceremony started and just got heavier and heavier during the ceremony. But the time it was time for the first kiss we certainly needed a umberrella!! It was great the Bec and Mark weren’t too worried about the weather… they still really enjoyed the moment! After the ceremony the rained eased so were able to take the group photo and the family photos at the Pavillion before we headed to Fig Tree avenue for some photos and then back to the Pavillion. It’s a real shame that the fig trees on fig tree avenue have to be removed, it’s such a gorgeous street!

After our photos at Fig Tree we headed back the Pavillion to finish off our shoot. I love shooting at the Pavillion. We are looking forward to our weddings at this gorgeous location in September 🙂

The reception was great. The evening went so fast! Thanks so much for a great day Bec and Mark. I hope that you both had a fantastic time in Thailand…. Let us know if you have any suggestions of places we should visit!

Here are just a few images from the day… I will share some more of Facebook during the week.
